TEN Hamilton Rugby Club players have been selected for the Lanarkshire Lions’ under-14 squad.
Eleven players from the Laigh Bent club attended the final trial game.
Robert Brown, Calum Crozier, Ross McQueen, Stuart Murray, Kyle Reid, Kyle Richmond, Adam Ryan, Nicky Stannage, Kris Stark, and David Stirrat will begin training with the squad shortly, and have been invited to attend a weekend training camp in Oban from June 19-21.
The first Lions game is against Argyll and Bute on June 21.
Meanwhile, Hamilton Rugby Club will hold a three-day summer camp from August 11-13, from 10am-3pm, for age groups P4-S4.
The courses will focus on speed and agility, strength and conditioning, contact skills, decision making and ball handling skills.
Instruction will be from coaches recruited from the senior club, including the 1st XV.
Although subsidised by the youth section, including the provision of free lunch for every participant, the club is charging £5 per day towards cost.
An early drop-off and late pick-up service will be provided, with the earliest drop-off being 9am, and latest pick-up at 4pm.
Those taking part should bring with them wet-weather clothing, standard rugby kit and a gumshield.
