BIGGAR Rugby Club’s proposed pre-season friendly against Livingston was postponed on Saturday, as neither side felt able to field a representative side, with holidays still impacting on training.
The focus now turns to this weekend’s games at Wigton, when both senior sides will travel together.
Biggar was pleased with the response during a recent PR event at the Blackwood Murray Rally, with a number of parents and potential parents requesting further information about the club.
Training and coaching is available for both sexes, at all ages and abilities.
Mini players (boys and girls) train from Sunday at 11am, midi age groups are catered for on Wednesdays from 6pm till 7.30pm, and seniors and colts (under-18s) are on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7pm-9pm.
For those who feel their playing days are behind them, any help in running the club, coaching, bar work, or accompanying teams on Saturdays or Sundays would be gratefully appreciated.
Speak to a committee member or pop down to the club on any of the above training nights for more information.
An Open Day, which includes skills practice, an archery demonstration and a senior game against Cambuslang, is scheduled for Saturday, August 23, and anybody interested in any aspect of the club is urged to go along to Hartree Mill.
