Young rugby stars will try hard at Hamilton tournament

Hamilton youth rugby tournament 2007

HAMILTON Rugby Club's youth tournament takes place at Laigh Bent on Sunday, with more than 120 boys and girls competing against teams from Dalziel, Currie, Whitecraigs, Marr, Biggar, Perthshire and Hillhead/Jordanhill.

In addition, the first overseas touring team, in the shape of Holywood from Northern Ireland, will take part in the S1 competition.

The action starts at 11am, with prizegiving at around 4pm.

This will be followed by the grand finale, as Hamilton’s P1 and P2 sides face-off in the annual ‘British Lions v All Blacks’ challenge match.
