Biggar sides contest busy weekend

WITH their season now over, Biggar sent several teams to different competitions over the weekend.

A senior VII travelled to Hawick on Saturday, but narrowly lost out in their second game against Newcastle Falcons, having earlier defeated Edinburgh side Boroughmuir.

An under-strength S2 side was in action, but lost both of their games.

The Colts were also in action at Gala, but also crashed out in the first round.

Biggar Minis took part in the Stirling County tournament at the weekend, with the best performance coming from the P4s, who reached the final, but lost out to Stewart’s Melville.

The P1-P7 sides will take part in the Currie Mini tournament at Malleny Park on Sunday from 11am, with teams leaving Biggar at 9am.
