Former Biggar star Warnock in international action

FORMER Biggar star Ali Warnock played a major part as Scotland 7s reached the bowl semi-finals at the IRB World Series campaign in Adelaide, Australia, last weekend.

On Saturday, Scotland beat the Cook Islands 22-17, with Warnock scoring a try, and he added a conversion later that morning in a 19-17 defeat by Argentina.

Favourites New Zealand then dumped Scotland from the pool stages with a 38-10 win.

Warnock returned to the side against the USA and scored a try before converting Mike Adamson’s try but Scotland lost 29-14.
