Crawford wins Clydesdale boys' strokeplay championship

THE Sport Clydesdale Boys Strokeplay Golf Championship was held at Carluke Golf Club recently on an extremely warm and sunny day.

The winner was Ryan Crawford from the host club with scores of 79 and 77 for a total of 156.

Second was Callum Stillie, from Carluke Golf Club, (81 & 78 – 159) and third was Fraser Campbell, from Lanark Golf Club, (77 & 84 – 161).

The winner of the handicap prize was Stewart McTaggart, from Carnwath Golf Club, with a total of 141.

Sport Clydesdale would like to thank Carluke Golf Club for hosting the competition, Colin McKendrick of South Lanarkshire Leisure for administering the event, and Scott Pithie from Carluke Golf Club for his assistance on the day.

Results were as follows: scratch competition: 1, Ryan Crawford, (Carluke Golf Club), 156 (79,77); 2, Callum Stillie, (Carluke Golf Club) , 159 (81,78); 3, Fraser Campbell, (Lanark Golf Club), 161(77,84).

Handicap competition: 1, Stewart McTaggart, (Carnwath Golf Club), 141.
