FIVE teams from Law and District Amateur Athletics Club took part in the first indoor under-13 Superteams competition at the Kelvin Hall in Glasgow last month.
The competition saw teams of four athletes compete over three disciplines – 800m, long jump, shot put and a medley relay of 2x200m/2x100m.
The girls A team won silver medals, while the boys A team completed a great day by taking bronze medals.
All the club’s competitors put in good performances on the day and were a credit to coach Lesley McNicol.
Silver medallists with 204 points were Pamela McNicol, Anya Towers, Christina Murray and Reagan Binnie.
Bronze medallists with 221 points were Evan Jones, Connor Thomson, Robert McGrath and Stephen Kelman.
The Law girls B team of Emily McNicol, Heather Baird, Julie Bankier and Roxanne Montaghian finished 11th with 144 points.
The C team of Claire Cartledge, Evie Robb, Hannah Cusick and Sarah Richardson were 15th with 99 points, and the boys ‘B team of Kieran Cubis, Richard Watson, Jack McAlroy and Lewis Donnelly were seventh with 163 points.
The Scottish Masters took place at the same venue on January 24, with James McDonald winning the M45 titles in 800m and 1500m with times of 2.08.33 and 4.30.77, respectively.
Stephen Allen claimed the M40 800m title with a time of 2.04.62 minutes.
