Hamilton Accies
Hamilton boss Billy Reid says lack of funds means the club are unlikely to bring in new faces before the end of the January transfer window.
But chairman Les Gray is talking to existing players about extending their contracts.
One player that is on Reid’s radar for a new deal is winger Ali Crawford, who has become an integral part of the first team but is out of contract in the summer.
Reid said: “Ali is coming on really nicely, is established as a first-team regular and is a really important player for us.
“I think his better years are ahead of him, he can adapt well and will thrive at a higher level.
“I think he has a great career ahead of him.
“He’s great at finding space on the park and the one thing I asked him to do was brush up on his final third, but he’s second-top scorer at the club with six goals, so he has certainly done that.”
