BUDDING snooker aces have been told they only have until Sunday to enter a national competition that could see them being mentored by top star Ronnie O’Sullivan.
The ‘Rocket’ and snooker clubs operator Riley’s already have more than 300 hopefuls signed up to the ‘Future Stars’ contest.
But those wishing to enter only have until March 21.
Top prize includes a £5000 financial package, while Ronnie will train and mentor the winner.
He said: “I’m delighted with the number of young players who have entered but there’s always room for more – don’t miss this great opportunity.
“I’ve had a great life thanks to snooker; if you love the game, have some talent and the desire to go all the way, then I’m going to help you as much as I can.”
Regional events throughout the country will produce 120 winners, who then go head-to-head until eight players are left.
Those eight will attend a ‘boot camp’ in Sheffield during the World Championships at the end of April, where they will be coached by top players in the game.
They will be put through a series of skills tests and interviews with Ronnie, who will then choose his winner and start the process of turning him into a snooker superstar.
To enter Future Stars visit the Riley’s at 296 Main Street, Bellshill, or visit: www.rileys.co.uk/ronnie.
