LACKLUSTRE Hamilton slumped to a narrow defeat in a miserable encounter with Dundee United last Wednesday.

And a poor night was compounded with a hamstring injury that will keep midfielder James Wesolowski sidelined for weeks.

The Australian was brought on at half time and provided some much-needed spark, but lasted just 32 minutes before being replaced by young Ali Crawford.

Both sides traded chances in a poor game that was settled in 75 minutes when Garry Kenneth’s low cross from the right was drilled into the far post corner by David Goodwillie.
