Accies back in the old routine in preparation for SPL

HAMILTON Accies were back in training this week in preparation for the SPL kick-off next month.

Gaffer Billy Reid, alongside his assistant Stuart Taylor, led the lads out for the start of pre-season training on Tuesday at Smithycroft in Hamilton.

Accies’ first competitive league game will be against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park on Saturday, August 15.

However, before the big day, Hamilton will take part in the Spartans tournament on July 18 and 19, against the host club, who are East of Scotland champions, Raith Rovers, and English non-leaguers Blyth Spartans at Ainslie Park, Edinburgh.

Hamilton’s pre-season friendly against Coca Cola League Two club Darlington has also once again been rescheduled, with the game now taking place on its original date of Wednesday, July 22.
