Fine finish for Hamilton at St Mirren Park

St Mirren 0 - 1 Hamilton Accies

SIMON Mensing's header ensured Accies ended the season on a high with an away win over St Mirren.

The goal came after a corner in the 27th minute, meaning Hamilton finished the season in ninth spot while St Mirren narrowly avoided relegation on goal difference.

The Buddies did threaten the visitors' goal, with Accies keeper Sean Murdoch saving fine efforts from Andy Dorman and Garry Brady.

At the other end, James McCarthy and Joel Thomas came close but were denied by Saints keeper Mark Howard.

The game finished with Accies taking the points, but St Mirren could breathe easy when results elsewhere meant Inverness suffered the drop.
