Hat-trick of SPL awards for Hamilton

HAMILTON ACCIES made a clean sweep in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League awards for January.

Billy Reid won the Manager of the Month award, goalkeeper Tomas Cerny was Player of the Month and James McCarthy took the Young Player of the Month award.

Hamilton went through January with an incredible 100 per cent record.

They won four SPL games and one Homecoming Scottish Cup tie – without conceding a single goal.

They beat Aberdeen, Inverness, Kilmarnock and Hearts in the SPL, and also defeated First Division Ross County in the Homecoming Scottish Cup fourth round.

Hamilton were the first team to win all three awards since Rangers in September 2003.
