BILLY Reid's men failed to bounce back from their heavy defeat by Rangers as they fell 2-0 to Hibs in Edinburgh.
The Easter Road side threatened Accies goal from early in the game, with captain Rob Jones and Colin Nish both denied headed goals by acrobatic saves from Cerny. However, Hibs suffered a cruel blow as Steven Fletcher had to be carried off following a challenge by David Elebert.
Substitute Derek Riordan opened the scoring shortly before half-time, and Jones put Hibs further ahead later in the second half with a headed effort.
Yet Hamilton wetre not without chances of their own: Mensing squandered a great chance in the penalty area when he struck his shot straight at Hibs keeper Yves Ma-Kalambay. James McCarthy forced a save again with a fantastic long-range effort.
However, Accies came closest in the second half when on-form striker Richard Offiong's curled shot struck the woodwork.
The 2-0 result sees Hibernian further secure their place in the top half of the table, while Hamilton are now three points adrift at the bottom.
