Your chance to win signed Accies shirt

Steven McSherry with the framed Accies shirt

HAMILTON Accies are still celebrating their brilliant First Division title win, and the Advertiser has a competition no fan will want to miss!

Thanks to Tannochside businessman Steve McSherry we have a framed Hamilton shirt signed by the triumphant squad and manager Billy Reid, and it’s up for grabs - scroll down for our competition question.

Steve (48), has set up Norwood Framing as a business venture following early retirement from his previous occupation.

And, having enjoyed links with the New Douglas Park club, Steve asked secretary Scott Struthers if he would get the squad to sign the jersey.

Steve said: “I’m retiring at the end of the year and I wanted to do something to keep myself busy so I decided to do picture framing.

“I was always good at woodwork in school, and about three years ago I got back into it and got a reference book out of the library.

“The more I read the more interested I became, and the better I got, so I gradually got better equipment and I use professional tools now.

“I have become something of an Accies fan, so I asked Scott if he would get a shirt signed for me, and I framed it.”

More information on Norwood Framing can be obtained by visiting Steve’s website at www.norwoodframing.com, or calling him on 01698 817750.

As you can see from our photo, the framed shirt looks fantastic, and it could be YOURS if you answer the following easy question: When was the last time Hamilton Accies were in the Premier Division? Was it (a) 1988/89, (b) 1998/99, or (c) 2006/07?

Send your answer, along with your name, address and daytime telephone number to: Accies Shirt Competition, Hamilton Advertiser Editorial, Press Buildings, Campbell Street, Hamilton, ML3 6AX by first post on Thursday, May 15 - or email the same details to jtonner@s-un.co.uk.

Usual S&UN competition rules apply.
