Accies girls in action

HAMILTON Accies Girls and Ladies teams were involved in various matches recently.

The Under-11s took part in a friendly mini tournament on March 22 and did well.

With a free Saturday, the Under-13s played a local boys’ team in a friendly but lost 5-1.

The Under-15s beat Kilbirnie 9-1 in a re-arranged league game after their Scottish Cup quarter-final opponents Clyde Cumbernauld requested a postponement due to the Easter holidays.

Goals by Ainsley Douglas (6), Nikki Burns (2) and Adele Tinney took Accies to the top of their league.

Hamilton’s Women’s Premier League team drew 3-3 at Forfar Farmington, taking the lead three times but being pegged back by their hosts. Accies goals were scored by Karen Penglase (2) and Pamela Liddell.
