Goalkeeper Lee Alexander, defender Tyne Bradley, midfielder Laura Murray and strikers Natasha Anderson and Sarah Crilly are in the Scotland Under-17 girls’ squad to take on Finland at St Johnstone’s McDiarmid Park, Perth, on Tuesday, March 4.

Lanarkshire United’s Jenna Ross and Emily Thomson are also in the squad for this match, which is in preparation for the Elite Phase of the UEFA Under-17 Championships in France next month, where they will face the host nation, Norway and Republic of Ireland.

Admission prices for the game, which kicks off at 7pm, are £3 and £1 for concessions.

Scotland Women’s coach Anna Signeul believes the new Cyprus Cup tournament is ideal preparation for the national side’s next UEFA European qualifier at McDiarmid Park on Sunday, April 27.

The Cyprus Cup is a new tournament involving Canada, Russia, Japan, Netherlands and USA Under-20.

It has been organised by the SFA, is led by coach Anna Signeul in co-operation with the Netherlands Football Association, Tord Grip Sport and Event, and Erinor Tours Company, has been approved by the Cyprus FA and sponsored by the Cyprus Tourist Organisation.

Meanwhile, Hamilton Accies Girls’ and Ladies’ teams have done well in recent games.

The Under-13s travelled to the Kilwinning Tournament, played in nine games, winning six, losing two and drawing one.

With no league game next week, the girls have a friendly match against their Motherwell counterparts.

Accies’ Under-15s grabbed a 4-2 away win at Dumfries in a re-arranged league game.

Goals from Amy Bulloch, Megan Walker, Ainsley Douglas and Sam MacPherson kept Accies’ title hopes alive.

The Under-17s beat Rangers 1-0, with Sarah Crilly’s goal maintaining their 100 per cent. record this season, moving them seven points clear of their Glasgow opponents at the top of the league.

They’re away to Dumfries next week.

Hamilton’s SWFL team beat Aberdeenshire side Kemnay 8-2.

Susan Fairlie (6), Madeline Hillman, captain Tiff McCloy were on target.

Next week the ladies are at home to Dunfermline Athletic in a re-arranged fixture.

However, the Women’s Premier League team lost 6-1 at home to league-leaders Hibs

Hamilton Accies now have six teams and are always looking for new players.

They play at Under-11, 13, 15, 17, Premier League and SWFL Second Division levels.

The team is fully-affiliated to Hamilton Accies FC.
