ACCIES managed to lift themselves off the bottom of the table with a win at home to Killie on Saturday.
The home side were on the back foot as Killie piled on some early pressure through Simon Ford as he headed past the post after a great delivery from Willie Gibson.
But Accies managed to keep the score at 0-0 at the break.
Billy Reid's men had the first chance of the second half through James McCarthy who failed to get the ball in the net but soon after, on 52 minutes, Richard Offiong stepped up.
Hamilton's top scorer from last season hit a wonder strike past Damien Rascle in the Killie goal.
Killie had chances to get back on level terms, firstly through substitute Donovan Simmonds who blasted a close-range shot over the bar.
Then in the closing stages of the match, Hamilton managed to weather the storm following efforts from Willie Gibson and Simon Ford.
Accies now face a tough trip to Ibrox next week where they face Rangers who faced a stutter in their league campaign with a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Hearts on Saturday.
