Hamilton ease to comfortable away victory

Berwick Rangers 2 Hamilton Accies 3

HAMILTON continued their pre-season preparations on Thursday with a comfortable if slender win at Shielfield against Third Division Berwick Rangers.

Accies were 3-0 up and cruising thanks to goals from James Grady, Brian Easton and Paul McLeod, before the Wee Rangers staged a late fight- back.

Hamilton had opened the scoring after 34 minutes when Grady headed home from close range.

Easton doubled the side’s lead just before half-time with an angled 14-yard drive.

And substitute Paul McLeod went on to put Hamilton 3-0 up in the 72nd minute, drilling home following a good move from the team.

David Grant and Chris Anderson pulled two late goals back for Berwick, who included former Accies stars Stuart Callaghan and Darren Gribben in their ranks.
