Hamilton retailers call for town centre regeneration

HAMILTON retailers have teamed up in a bid to alert South Lanarkshire Council of the town centre’s desperate need for regeneration (see their story here).
Shop owners are encouraging locals to get involved by signing a petition which will be presented to the council.
With the number of vacant shops increasing in Quarry Street and rent prices soaring for shop owners, do you think the council should be doing more to help struggling retailers ?
