Loss of 750 Lanarkshire jobs at construction firm, Carillion
This week’s news that Carillion will be axing 750 jobs at their Tannochside premises has come as a shock to many Lanarkshire residents.
This will be the second major job bout of job cuts in the area after fellow construction company, Hewden announced 80 job losses at their Uddingston office at the end of February.
Is it right that the company have bought over construction firm Alfred McAlpine and instantly announce job losses?
Do you think MSPs should be doing more to provide security for these jobs?
