Police dog did us all a favour

REGARDING the story about Alec Davidson in last week’s Advertiser (‘Cop dog savaged my son says mum’), I was absolutely astounded at the mother’s attitude.

In my opinion, the dog did in under one minute what the boy’s mother should have been doing: keeping him under control.

I hope excess force was not used on the occasions when he was assaulting victims or breaking into people’s homes.

It’s the dog who should have been given the tetanus injection and checked over by a vet. It should also be given a canine award.

Well done, the police dog. I wish I could shake its paw and say, well done boy. Let’s see more like him on the street.
