I HAVE often bemoaned the lack of traffic lights at the roundabout connecting Asda and the Hamilton Palace Grounds retail park.
You take you life in your hands trying to exit from the retail park when the traffic is heavy (which is a lot of the time). I have simply given up trying and avoid the retail park completely.
However, last week's weather forced me to go to Homebase to buy grit. As the road was once again busy, I parked at Asda and walked over.
As I carried a container of grit across the road, I had time to reflect on the absurdity of the situation. I shouldn't have had to do this; there should be traffic lights to control the traffic and to avoid anyone else doing their back in!
I would also like to ask South Lanarkshire Council just where are the glass wall panels they removed from the town square? Yet another example of the ongoing mishandling of our hard-earned money by pen-pushers who think they have an eye for art.
Not Amused, name and address supplied.
