I WOULD like to comment on the recent ‘sackings’ made by South Lanarkshire Council (last week’s Advertiser) regarding staff who took enjoyment out of sending vile emails.
These sick individuals (most of them social/care workers), who knew the rules regarding the use of the internet and e-mail while at work and who really should have been totally straight-up, law-abiding citizens, are currently trying to claim unfair dismissal.
Their excuse/reason that they should be re-employed: “We didn’t use pictures of any children at risk.”
Imagine this: these pervert social workers, who are employed in the care of protecting the innocent and vulnerable of society, are sitting in their office trawling the internet for pictures.
They stumble across a picture of a member of your family on your website, Bebo or Facebook, and they decide, let’s use that picture to make a sick image and place it alongside pop perv Glary Glitter.
How would you feel if that person started sending it around the world in a vile e-mail? Then you find out that these people get their jobs back as social workers etc.
These sick indivuals think they have done nothing wrong. I think otherwise, and would urge anyone who knows the identities of these indivuals to make sure they tell people who they are and what they have been sacked for.
And let’s hope they do not get re-employed in any position that requires any level of trust.
Disgusted, letter sent by e-mail.
