Seeing red at this latest sectarian slur on Larkhall

I AM writing to express my disgust at an article written in a particular downmarket tabloid newspaper on Asda’s proposal to build a new supermarket in Larkhall.

Yet again this paper (with an article regarding the company’s green signage) seeks to vilify the people of Larkhall and distort the truth in order to sensationalise a non-story and sell its newspaper.

I am sure I am not alone in feeling that this particular newspaper will stop at nothing to blacken the reputation of the people of Larkhall.

As someone who has been brought up here I am proud to represent the people of the town.

I am also proud of their tolerance, which is being continually tested by the sickening antics of this newspaper.

Councillor Peter Craig, Larkhall Ward.

Insistent that council were right to sack staff over perv e-mails

I WOULD like to thank the Advertiser for publishing my letter a couple of weeks ago in which I said South Lanarkshire Council were right to sack staff caught sending smutty e-mails, and for publishing a reply to it from Unison rep Stephen Smellie. Read

Furious with driver who caused damage

I AM writing this letter to the person with no conscience who reversed their vehicle out of my street, managing to hit my car from the wheel arch all the way to the middle of the back door. Read
