Greatly impressed by garage’s kind gesture

Through the Letters page of the Advertiser, I would like to say a big ‘thank you’ to a local garage owner.

I was in bed for three weeks with a nasty virus. I phoned the garage and asked how much it would be to charge my car battery.

One of the mechanics came round, took my car away and brought it back the next day, fully charged.

When I asked how much it would cost, he replied: “Nothing. Just get well soon.”

I think you will agree this was most unusual in this day and age. So to Mitchell Motors, opposite Morrisons, I say again, thank you.

June Clark, Hamilton.
