IT is with great pride that I write this letter. Hamilton Accies are on the cusp of promotion to the Premier League, their first appearance in more years than I care to mention.

This football club represents the community, a community which, like the football club, is on the rise after many years struggling with dereliction and under-investment.

The club, again like the local community, is reliant on youth and experience working together.

I think it's time for the club and the community to work even more closely together.

Why not go out on Saturday, not to the shops, the cinema or the pub but to New Douglas Park at 2.50pm. Support the side, show your pride, and have the chance to feel part of your community once again.
