Public support on wind turbine fears is much appreciated by residents

I am writing regarding the article in last week’s Advertiser, ‘Storm brewing over wind turbine proposal’.

The residents of Sydes Brae would like to thank everyone for their strong community support and spirit over the last week.

Obviously there is huge concern throughout Blantyre about the general impact of the proposed HSBC development, judging by the number of calls we have taken on this issue.

The local people’s continued support is very much appreciated and, hopefully, HSBC will respond positively to the concerns and issues of the Sydes Brae residents and the wider Blantyre community.

Mr and Mrs S. Williamson (on behalf of Sydes Brae residents)
