Don’t ignore vital safety issue here

I am writing regarding the letter from J. McGhie recently in the Advertiser regarding the decant of pupils from St John the Baptist School.

If this was a parent how would he/she feel if the Hamilton school, St John’s, had been decanted to Uddingston?

The children are having an extra hour added to their day — and some of these youngsters aren’t even five years of age.

Furthermore, the ‘27 crossing patrol people’ are only there for two weeks. Does the writer want to see a child killed before something is done about it?

So sorry the children are wearing hi-viz vests, but it’s to make themselves seen in busy traffic.

Concerned gran, Uddingston.
